After Jordan, Bahrain recalls its ambassador from Israel
Bahrain has become the second Arab country with diplomatic relations with Israel to withdraw its ambassador from Israel after Jordan.
Today, the Bahraini Parliament announced that the Israeli ambassador had left the country, the return of the Bahraini ambassador from Israel, and the cessation of economic relations with Tel Aviv. Yesterday, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan announced that it had summoned the Jordanian ambassador to Israel to Jordan and had asked the Israeli Foreign Ministry not to return the Israeli ambassador who left earlier. Six Arab countries have official diplomatic and economic relations with Israel: Egypt, Jordan, the Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. It is worth noting that three South American countries - Chile, Colombia and Bolivia - have completely severed relations with Israel.
