Israel begins the expected ground invasion of the Gaza Strip
It seems that the threat that everyone has been waiting for since the beginning of the Israeli war has become a reality
The American newspaper The New York Times, citing Israeli sources, announced the start of the ground invasion by the Israeli army.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior in Gaza announced that the Israeli army is launching an attack on the Strip from several axes, and that the Israeli Army forces are trying to separate the south of the Strip from its north.
A field commander affiliated with the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades announced that they are waging violent battles in the axes south of Gaza City and the Tawam and Karama area northwest of Gaza, and that they destroyed a number of Israeli vehicles in those battles.
Sirens were heard in Beersheba and the Negev after the Palestinian resistance fired rocket salvoes at them.
In a related context, Israeli sources announced the interception of a surface-to-surface missile launched from the Red Sea towards Israel using the Arrows system for the first time.
